As a trusted advisor, Chris works with individuals, families and business owners to help them understand the importance of developing a strategic, long-term financial plan. In order to accomplish this, he takes the time to understand their values and visions for the future.

Whether it is insurance planning, wealth accumulation, management and preservation, retirement planning or leaving a legacy, every person, family and situation is unique and is provided customized and highly personalized solutions.

Through his association with NFP Advisor Services, LLC, Chris has access to top providers and products including stocks, bonds, ETFs and alternative investment solutions through an open architecture platform and relationships with a wide array of financial product providers. These service offerings, while diverse, are driven by a single priority: the integrated wealth management needs of his clients. His resources mean that he can provide an approach that coordinates his planning with the tax and legal issues of his clients in both their personal and business lives.

Married to Nancy Taylor, a Certified Family Law Specialist, Chris and she are both native San Diegans. He attended the University of San Diego for undergraduate studies and the American College for graduate studies in the fields of Family Business Succession and Estate Planning and holds the designations of Certified Senior Advisor and Accredited Investment Fiduciary.

Chris is an independent, licensed insurance broker providing life, health, long- term-care, disability, and property/casualty insurance services. Combined with wealth management he provides financial, investment and estate planning solutions that work together to support your unique needs and objectives.

Damon Friedman, CFP®

Director of Operations

Damon's career began before graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 2001. In May 1998, he started as an Administrative Assistant with Rendina Companies, a leading developer of healthcare real estate facilities. At Rendina he applied his creativity and editing skills to promote their marketing brochures. Additionally his technical expertise was utilized to troubleshoot, maintain and support office systems including the creation of cost-tracking spreadsheets and managing clerical assignments for staff.

By September of 1999, Damon held the Office Manager position for Foster Walsh, LLP, an Estate Planning/Mergers and Acquisitions law firm in San Diego. There he performed all management bookkeeping, accounts payable/accounts receivable and billing responsibilities while preparing yearly budget and quarterly reviews. He maintained personnel files, calculated accrual and usage of employee PTO, and tracked income generated by the firm in addition to meeting with vendors and setting up new firm accounts. This was the inspiration for his interest in financial services and its client benefits.

In July 2000, Damon joined Taylor Financial Services as Director of Operations. His responsibilities include office management and compliance with industry regulations and marketing. He assists Chris Taylor with client financial planning, assessment of client investments and their appropriateness. He is also in charge of preparing quarterly reviews and the research of new investment opportunities for client portfolios.

Damon obtained his Certified Financial Planner™ certification along with graduating as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at San Diego State University in 2013 where he earned a Master of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in financial and tax planning. He holds Series 7(FINRA General Securities Representative) and Series 66(NASAA Uniform Combined State Law Examination) Securities Licenses, as well as California Life, Accident and Health Insurance Licenses.



Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Gama Rodriguez

Relationship Manager

Gama has worked with clients in the Financial Services Industry for over 16-years and manages client relationships in our firm.

As a native San Diegan, his background is Hispanic, and speaking Spanish fluently has enabled our firm to better provide investment and insurance services to the Mexican residents of San Diego County and Mexico.

Gama's history in banking began with Wells Fargo in 1995 and continued until 2002 where he was an Assistant Vice President, holding the Premier Banker title in which he provided expert banking advice for investors and business clientele, garnering him three-times National recognition for his expertise.

In 2002 he accepted a position of Vice President/Sr. Client Manager with Bank of America in their Premier Banking and Investment Division, San Diego. At Bank of America he served 300+ clients providing personalized advice and recommendations in areas of wealth preservation and protection through estate planning with both The Private Bank and Bank of America's Trust Departments, achieving the top client satisfaction award for two consecutive years.

In 2009 Gama's joined Taylor Financial Services as Vice President/Relationship Manager. He provides our clients with personalized attention, banking experience, and insurance services to help build and preserve their wealth.
